Hey everyone, I’ve been wondering about how the MultiPlus-II system manages the excess energy from solar panels. What happens when the batteries are fully charged? Does it just stop using solar energy, or is there a way to utilize this excess power?

When the MultiPlus-II is connected to solar inverters and the batteries reach full charge, it doesn’t just stop using solar energy. Instead, the system smartly reduces the charge current, and any extra energy is fed back into the mains.

So, you’re effectively using your solar panels to their full potential, even when your batteries are topped up. It’s a pretty efficient way to manage your solar energy.

In technical terms, when the MultiPlus-II system is connected to solar inverters and reaches the absorption voltage – indicating the batteries are fully charged – it employs a dynamic energy management technique.

Instead of discontinuing the use of solar energy, the system reduces the charge current, effectively diverting the surplus solar energy back to the mains.

This process involves monitoring the battery charge state and managing the inverter output to optimize energy usage, ensuring no excess solar energy is wasted.
