The device offers a Wi-Fi access point feature, allowing you to connect to it directly without requiring an external internet connection.
There should be a sticker on the side of the Cerbo GX, giving you the WiFi name (starts with “venus-xxx”) and password (WiFi Key).
By connecting your mobile device or computer to the Cerbo GX’s “venus” Wi-Fi network, you gain access to the Cerbo and the Remote Console without relying on an internet connection.
You can make this connection using the VictronConnect app to interact with the Cerbo GX. This direct connection is best for local access and management of your Cerbo GX settings.
It’s particularly useful in remote locations or situations where internet connectivity is limited or unavailable.

You cannot access the Remote Console via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth functionality of the Cerbo GX is only designed for setting and changing up Wi-Fi and Ethernet configurations and settings through VictronConnect. It does not allow access to the Remote Console. To access the Remote Console, you HAVE TO use the built-in Wi-Fi Access Point or a local LAN network.

See if the WiFi LED on the Cerbo GX is green, which indicates that it is enabled and casting the Venus WiFi network.
If its orange is disabled (you can see this written on the top of the Cerbo.
If you are having issues connecting to the WiFi due to accidentally turning it off, then you can reset all the network settings to factory default by long-pressing the small reset button found above the power port, using a pen.
The Cerbo should reboot with its built-in WiFi network (venus) enabled, indicated by the green LED.

Yes, don’t confuse the Cerbo’s built-in WiFi network as an “internet wifi”.
It doesn’t require or have the internet to connect to it. It’s built-in Wifi is simply a secure way to access your Cerbo offline. Once you connect to its Venus network, you can go into the Remote Console and then into “Settings > Wi-Fi”.
Once there you should see all other available internet enabled WiFi networks, such as your router. If yours is on there, then simply select and connect to it using your router password as you would though your phone.
Once done, the Cerbo now has internet through your router.
So again, the venus network is only there to connect to the Cerbo (it doesn’t have internet) – you have to connect to another internet based wifi within the Cerbo settings.
